Throwing behavior
My almost three year old has been throwing a lot. Sometimes out of excitement and play but also out of frustration and anger if he denied something. It’s getting out of hand and time outs don’t seem to work, taking the toy away doesn’t work. We explain to him that it’s not ok to throw and he says he understands but will do it again (which I think is expected). I’m at a loss of what to do- what have others done?

This is one of those things where you probably won’t see results right away but if you are persistent and keep addressing the behavior over time you’ll see change. Keep doing what you’re doing and hang in there!
