My baby fell off the bed
My biggest fear happened yesterday when I turned my back for literally 2 seconds and my baby rolled right off our bed. I have been so aware & careful about this & i can not believe i let it happen. My baby is 5 months, she cried right after then stopped after being held & consoled. Pediatrician said everything was fine after an exam & that this happens all the time to babies. She seems normal but of course I am over analyzing everything little thing. Has this happened to anyone else? How do I stop feeling I caused her some harm?

Itâs super scary when something like this happens but also give yourself some Grace because these things happen and kids are surprisingly resilient! When my oldest son was 8 months he showed interest in the glass of water I was drinking. The supidest thing I did was give him a sip. He decided to bite down on the glass and it shattered in his mouth. I spent 10 minutes yelling please donât swallow while I fished shards of glass out of his mouth. It was terrifying. I felt horrible. And heâs totally fine. And now I donât give young children delicate glassware đ so this stuff happens to everyone. Donât beat yourself up!

Iâll never forget when this happened to my daughter. She was about the same age. Itâs terrifying, and you feel so guilty as a parent. Like Ethan said, give yourself lots of grace and remember that you didnât cause your child any harm. It happens to all of us at one point or another, despite our every effort to make sure it doesnât. Youâre a good parent and your child feels safe with you. đŤśđź

Yup. I canât remember how old she was but it was probably around 5 months. I left her in the bed, which had a bed rail, and went to grab something from another room real quick. I hear a thud and cries. She somehow pushed on the bed rail hard enough for it to push it out and she fell through the crack off the bed onto the hardwood floor. Luckily I had already heard from many other moms in our mom group of this happening to them so I knew what to check for and she was fine once fed. My baby brother as an infant fell off the bed while sleeping and then rolled under the bed! I remember my mom freaking out that he was kidnapped but it turned out he was just sleeping under the bed! We didnât even hear him cry. Itâs practically a rite of passage. Donât beat yourself up. It happens to many babies!

This happened to my husband I was in the bathroom and our oldest son rolled off the bed. Thankfully he was fine, give yourself grace. When they get old they are even more reckless lol at least boys.
