Toddler bed?
Thinking about switching to a toddler bed and could use some advice. LO is 2.5 and has basically night trained, dry at night and during naps for the past couple weeks. He wakes early (5 or 6am), squirms, sometimes tries to take his pants off, and will pee if I take him, but won’t settle back easily after. Which is killing me because I can’t keep waking up this early. Wondering if a potty by the bed would help or if he’d still need us. Crib’s working fine, but switching means dealing with him roaming the apartment or messing with the monitor. He also hates diapers now and keeps pulling them off. I ordered some cloth pull-ups, maybe those help. Not sure if we just wait it out or go for the bed now. Anyone have advice?

What a milestone! We transitioned our youngest to a toddler bed to make it easier to access potty in their room. We also put a potty seat right next to it so they could use it on their own when needed in the middle of the night. They did this for a few months and it allowed me to sleep and not have to wake up early like you mentioned. You could get one of those clocks that would give him signal on when to actually get out of bed, etc. I've heard success from other parents that use them. Best of luck and keep us posted on this transition!

Go for it! Give them something to feel proud about.
