Throwing food
How can we get our 13mo to stop throwing food? She typically does it when she's uninterested in what she's eating, but I'm hesitant to take away the plate / end meals because she's not eating much. Also, she throws food to our dog 🄲 it's like our daughter gets distracted by the dog even if she's just laying on the couch, and my daughter decides to babble and drop food to get the dog's attention. Obviously our dog loves this, but would be great if we could stop it!

I second the no thank you bowl! I saw a mom do that & I think it’s a great idea! Being consistent & using the same language will definitely help. ā€œOh no thank you, let’s put it here. Can you pick it up & put it hereā€ while modeling. A lot of repeating will be tedious but will be worth it!

@Cortnie Gonzalesoh great to hear! I am already seeing some of this - sometimes she'll put food aside on the table instead of throwing. The consistency is hard for me, I feel like I'm not speaking English anymore after saying the same thing šŸ˜‚

Ditto everything Cortnie and Paper Plane suggested. We don’t have a dog but did most of the rest, and it gets better! The consistency is maddening though, I get it
