Toddler potty regression
Our 2.5yr old had been doing wonderful going on the big potty. Within the last week they have been really scared to go to the point of holding it in. What can we do to get them back to feeling good about using the big potty again?

Potty training is so hard! I found the Oh Crap Potty Training Podcast to be the most helpful - there are so many niche situations and you can skip to episodes that are most relevant to your exact problem! We had a lot of withholding in early days too. If itโ€™s a boy, we found peeing in a solo cup and/or outside as low pressure ways to rebuild confidence. We also do things he likes on the potty (hang out, read a book to make it fun) and reinforce good behavior with treats which donโ€™t last forever but help in early days!

Thank you for the suggestions. We have stickers that seem to be a new motivation so can try that. We also brought back the "small" potty to see if they'll go there. It worked last night. I just don't want to have to drag a potty with us if we're outside the home ๐Ÿ˜ž.

Update here: we got a new (Bluey) potty seat that they picked out themselves on Amazon and they seem to be excited about potty again.
