Best playpen / large enclosed play area
Our 5mo old is quickly getting the hang of rolling right across the room and starting to pivot as she goes. We want her to have plenty of space to explore, but our apt is small and it's not realistic to dedicate a whole room to something she can explore fully safely. Also, we have a dog and want to be able to separate the two of them. What worked for you? Ideally something with soft/mesh sides because her latest favorite thing to do is to roll into the wooden bars on her crib πŸ™ƒ

I came on here to post the exact same question!! There are so many choices that I would love a mesh rec from other parents, for a small space.

We didn't have a baby gate but used a combo of bins the toys were in and human intervention lol.. I think since there's a dog involved, you might want to get a pen that's easy to bring out and put away.

For our first born we used Skip Hop Play Enclosure Expandable Baby Playpen in Gray. We liked it becuase it’s modular and you can just add more and pieces to expand it. I would drop our son into it after work with some toys and he could stay entertained and safe while I cooked or did something upstairs. Now we just have less space because our toddler uses the area that was once occupied by the play pen so we use a pack and play. Our baby is now 11 months old so I’m not sure how much time we have left with the pack and play but alternating him between the pack and play and baby Bjorn bouncer is usually enough to keep him occupied to whip up a quick meal.

We got a playpen off Amazon (suposeu 50”x50”) intending to use it for the kiddo. Instead it is for the dog. But it’s great! Keeps them separate and safe. Until kiddo learned to use zippers and now he just lets the dog Out πŸ˜‚
