Bassinet outgrown
What are we doing when baby outgrows bassinet? I’m pretty sure my LO will out grow the halo bassinet before we transfer her to her crib at 6 months. What are you guys doing when that happens.

We went the pack and play route noted above. There was no way our crib was moving room to room, and for a variety of reasons we wanted to keep our kiddo in the room longer. The drawback was that it was rough on our backs to bring her down that low.

Our son is very tall and we started to worry he was running out of room in the Halo by like 10 weeks. It made our life (and his space) easier to have him sleeping in the crib, so we just transitioned him. We slept with the crib sheets wrapped around our pillows for a week prior to the switch to make the transition "feel" safe and he never had any issues (though it's worth noting that he's always been a very strong sleeper)

Worthwhile context - he was in his own room even when he was in the bassinet and part of our sleep training was "naps in the bassinet / crib." So we didn't prioritize flexibility of w/r/t the pack n play vs crib

We kept our babies in the bassinet as long as we could which was about 6 months. We prob should have moved them earlier but they were working. We started doing naps in the crib as a way to transition from bassinet. So the crib over time starting to be more comfortable and eventually it became their space.

We did the pack and play as well! For our second (now 4 almost 4 months and also about to outgrown the halo) we got a new pack and play with a zip in upper layer so we don’t have to bend over and practically drop him into the pack and play! We love it!

Our little one is very tall and started getting constrained in the bassinet at 3.5 mo. He’s 4 months now and we just moved to a new place and we didn’t fuss about it much and just switched him so the crib. He instantly started sleeping longer, we think it’s because when he starts flailing at night he’s not hitting the edges of the bed any more and can stretch to his hearts content.
