Transitioning out of sleep sack. Help!
My three year old is getting too big for the largest sleep sack so it’s time for him to sleep in bed with just his pajamas and blanket. He’s an amazing sleeper but also such a creature of habit. He can’t sleep unless everything is perfect. So for example he can’t sleep well in the stroller or car or really anywhere else besides his room. So this small transition of not having a sleep sack isn’t going well. Last night we tried for the first time and he tossed and turned for an hour before crying out that he needed his sleep sack. We gave it back to him and he slept like an Angel. Is this one of those things like sleep training where we just have him cry it out? Has anyone else dealt with this?

Yeah I feel like it's more of a comfort thing for him and maybe a brand new soft stuffie or blanket could help. He could even pick it out. Kind of like potty, this could be a big boy transition where he says bye to the sleep sack. Best of luck! Hopefully it doesn't take too long.

Thanks! I really like the idea of getting him a new blanket cover that he picks out so it feels special. We haven’t tried that.
